LPO (DE.D2G) Orsted se prabuseste pe bursa

Actiunile Orsted s-au prabusit luni cu 17%, atingand un minim istoric, dupa ce guvernul SUA a ordonat oprirea constructiei proiectului Revolution Wind din largul Rhode Island, finalizat in proportie de 80% (45 din 65 de turbine instalate). Masura pune sub semnul intrebarii planul companiei de a atrage 60 mld. DKK (9.4 mld. USD) printr-o majorare de capital sustinuta de statul danez, actionarul principal. Analistii avertizeaza ca, in scenariul pesimist in care proiectul nu va livra energie, Orsted ar putea suporta pierderi de ordinul zecilor de miliarde DKK si costuri suplimentare contractuale, ceea ce ar impune o crestere a nevoii de capital peste nivelul estimat initial. GE, Orsted and now Iberdrola: The competition to recycle wind turbine blades heats up

Spanish energy firm Iberdrola (ES.IBE) has jointly established a company that will recycle components used in renewable energy installations, including wind turbine blades. In a statement last week Iberdrola said the company, known as EnergyLOOP, would develop a blade recycling facility in Navarre, northern Spain. A few months earlier, in June 2021, Denmark’s Orsted (DE.D2G) said it would “reuse, recycle, or recover” all turbine blades in its worldwide portfolio of wind farms once they’re decommissioned. That June also saw General Electric’s renewables unit and cement manufacturer Holcim strike a deal to explore the recycling of wind turbine blades. In Jan. 2020 another wind energy giant, Vestas (DE.VWSB), said it was aiming to produce “zero-waste” turbines by the year 2040.
